NATAS Travel Fair Quick Review
The NATAS Travel Fair has always been the most anticipated event every year for frequent travelers looking for a bargain on tour packages. There was a crowd but definitely not overcrowded with the entrances and exits marshalled by security personnels. It was clear the organizers had been expecting a bigger crowd and as you can see in the image there wasn’t any, our poor team had to mazed through the ridiculously lengthy queue setups. The ticket costs $3.00 and Cash or mastercard payments are accepted in exchange for a paper wristband to enter the fair (similar to those you wear at sunway lagoon).
The exhibitors’ stalls are well spaced out for comfortable walking corridors. Make sure you grab some carrier bags from the exhibitors as there will be tons of leaflets and brochures given out.Most of the exhibitors are tactful and not too pushy to sell their travel packages and are willing to answer any questions or doubts you may have.
The prices can be quite attractive with short getaways to places like Bali or Langkawi starting from $300 (3D2N with some agencies throwing in an additional free 1N). However, the catch on these good prices usually revolves around fixed departure dates or random hotels in their packages. If you are looking for weekend tours, be warned that they are most likely filled up by early birds but don’t worry, walk around and you just might spot some other reasonable good deals.
From what we have gathered, if you can’t find your dream holiday plan in this NATAS Travel Fair, don’t fret as there just might be another one coming soon in June or July.
