Elshan Tang is the founder of Zelos, which means zeal in Greek. His passion for engineering perfection and watch designs led him to launch this watch project on Kickstarter crowdfunding platform, and is one of the few Singaporean projects that actually got funded successfully. We find his choice of using bronze for the watch case uniquely attractive, brushed and sandblasted to give it a rustic worn-out yet classic look. You will also find an exhibited back, allowing the wearer to be mesmerized by the intricate movements of the watch mechanisms.

While we are sure it will look pretty cool with everything bronze but that might cause some potential inconvenience for some and we perfectly understand Elshan’s point of view. At $420 Canadian dollars, it’s not exactly the most affordable watch but for the quality, hardware and worksmanship plus the fact that Zelos Helmsman will retail for $600 after the campaign, we say it’s definitely worth considering.
