Come this September you won’t be seeing any SingTel banners or advertisements in the F1 Grand Prix scheduled to happen on the 21st September 2014, that’s because Singapore Airlines (SIA) has taken over to become the official title sponsor. An official website has been set up to keep everyone updated and an estimated 15million dollars worth of sponsorship will be used for the F1 race according to Channel News Asia.

It will be interestingly to see how SIA will be doing things differently from SingTel and honestly, we can’t wait. Here’s the official announcement from Singapore Airlines:

At Singapore Airlines, we continually strive to bring you the finest experiences in the air. Now we are doing the same on the ground.

It is with great pleasure and excitement that we announce that Singapore Airlines is the Title Sponsor of the 2014 FORMULA 1 SINGAPORE GRAND PRIX. We will be bringing together the world’s most skilful drivers, piloting the world’s most technologically advanced cars, as they power through the world’s only street circuit night race.

Stay tuned as we host racing’s elite for an incredible experience on our home track. Catch F1 fever early with our images and videos, or register to receive the latest updates.

Yours sincerely,
