LTA is clamping down hard on motorists who park illegally with 10 new CCTV locations starting from 15 July 2014. This brings the total CCTV monitoring locations to 20 and will further increase to 30 by October 2014. Most of the CCTVs are located around MRT stations where there is a high incidence of illegal parking, impeding the smooth flow of public buses. Popular malls and high concentration of pedestrian activities are also one of the factor in selection of the CCTV locations.
