Watch out where you park starting in the new year as LTA yesterday announced that they will be imposing higher fines for repeat offenders who received more than one Notice of Traffic Offense (NTO) within 12 months.

For example, a motorist will receive a $110 summon instead of $70 for his/her second offence within 12 months. Demerit points for serious illegal parking offences remain unchanged.

Apart from the heavier fines, LTA has also released a list of 40 new locations where CCTVs will be installed and will be operational starting first quarter of 2015. You can read more about the new measures from LTA official news announcement.
