So USB 3.1 is finally here and unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show 2015 hosted in Las Vegas. One of the biggest frustrations of the current generation of USB connectors is that it can only fit one way, sometimes creating inconveniences.
The new reversible USB 3.1 Type C plug solves this problem, so you can plug it any way into the new port. It is also faster too, up to 10Gbps speeds similar to Thunderbolt but only half as fast as Thunderbolt 2. The new USB cables are entering production as we write but it might take a while before it takes over our current ones.
