Whatsapp now available as a desktop web app but iOS users can’t use it

Yay but not yay for iPhones

These days it’s hard to find someone without a whatsapp account but even after becoming one of the top chat app, it is still missing the convenience of a desktop client. Today Whatsapp has just announce a web app version of it which you can use only from Google Chrome browsers.

Unlike Line or Telegram which has already offered desktop clients, Whatsapp solution although quite frankly isn’t the best, still delivers a decent user experience. If you have been waiting for Whatsapp to release a full-fledged desktop client, you might have to wait a while longer but in the meantime you can save (or waste) some time chatting from your browser at work or home.

And here’s the bummer – iOS users won’t be able to use the web client for now due to the limitations of Apple’s platform, though Whatsapp didn’t clarify in details what the problem was.

If you are using Android, Blackberry, Windows Phone or Nokia S60, go on and fire up Whatsapp web app on your browser, follow the instructions and have a go at it.
