Two John Little stores to close this year in Singapore according to sources

The UAE based company The Al-Futtaim Group which owns Robinsons, Marks & Spencer and John Little here in Singapore announced earlier this week that they will be closing a couple John Little stores alongside major revamp to Robinsons stores in Raffles City and two other Mark & Spencer stores in the same mall and Paragon.

The news came after Marks & Spencer revealed earlier that they are closing their branch in Centrepoint on 29 March. According to The Straits Times report, Al-Futtaim said was a business decision, to consolidate resources and focus on the other stores islandwide, including the flagship store at Wheelock Place.

John Little Marina Square store will close on 26 April while the Tiong Bahru Plaza store will operate till the last quarter of the year 2015. Al-Futtaim also states that they will be focusing manpower and resources to its Plaza Singapura and Jurong Point stores.
