If Apple made a pencil, this would be it. Penxo is a minimalistic 2mm lead pencil holder that has a reminiscence of a mechanical one but it’s so simple you wouldn’t believe it.
All that’s clasping the pencil lead within the Penxo is an aircraft-grade aluminium unibody piece, there are no springs, buttons or moving parts. When you run out of lead, simply push your thumb into the gap of the Penxo and it will release the tension holding the lead.
Penxo is a great idea if you frequently work with 2mm leads, but if you must use thinner pencil leads then this Kickstarter project isn’t for you. Penxo is pricey too, at US$29 a piece (excluding $7 shipping), it’s going to be your most expensive pencil yet.
Though pricey, nothing can stop design fans from chipping in. Within few days, the project has gotten more than 1,500 backers, that’s pretty impressive for a pencil but of course one could argue good designs don’t come cheap.
