The haze might be going away for now, but no one can know for sure it won’t be returning. Instead of looking for political, farming or commercial parties to blame, it is more important to help those on the ground who are fighting the fires to keep the haze in control, ensuring they have sufficient medical supplies and firefighting equipment.
The World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) Singapore is appealing to the public for donations to support the locals and WWF-Indonesia team to fight the raging fires in Borneo and Sumatra. Your help is critical not merely in keeping the air in our region clean and healthy, but also to mitigate the impact of the fires on the forests and wildlife.
Donation amount starts from $10 to $500 in Singapore dollars with a target of $20,000 to reach by 21 November 2015.Donate Now
