Tired of using cheap and unreliable cable remote for your cameras that just mess up your photos all the time? The team behind Pulse wireless remote wants to solve the problem of taking videos, stills and even timelapse from your camera wirelessly once and for all.

The sleek looking device that plugs into your camera’s USB port connects to a smartphone app via Bluetooth that lets you control everything on your camera including wireless image preview, remote trigger, controlling timelapse schedules and starting/stopping video recording. Pulse is also capable of controlling up to three Pulse-equipped cameras at once from a single smartphone, especially useful for aspiring filmmakers who wish to control different angle captures from multiple cameras.

Most Nikon and Canon DSLR camera models are supported, unfortunately Sony didn’t make it to the list because of a tethering issue. They are appealing to the company to work on it and are asking you to do the same if you own a Sony camera. The team is also working on support for Olympus and Panasonic cameras.

Pulse is available for pre-order on Kickstarter for US$74 a piece and is expected to ship in April 2016 next year.
