You have probably heard about the new North-South Expressway(NSE) that extends from Woodlands to the city centre. LTA yesterday announced that they have redesigned NSE to incorporate dedicated bus lanes for express bus services.

The bigger news that was lauded by the public and particularly the cycling community is an ambitious inclusion of a cycling trunk route that stretches the entire North-South corridor to the city. According to the artist impressions (picture above) and official press release from LTA, the cycling and wide walking paths will run along the surface corridor with ample greenery for shade.

LTA has also mentioned they will be working to bring walking, cycling and riding public transport more convenient for Singaporeans. The final design of the NSE and timeline will be released on a later date.
