Samsung’s much-anticipated revision to the flagship smartphone model has arrived. Name cumulatively to the predecessor, the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge comes with a tagline “Rethink what a phone can do” and some welcomed improvements.
The Korean company’s new smartphones, which comes in 5.1″ (S7) and 5.5″ (S7 Edge) display sizes, are now both dust and water resistant. Samsung claims the S7 is the first smartphone camera to have a professional-grade dual-pixel 12 megapixels sensor with f/1.7 lens and image stabilisation capable of taking clear, crisp photos in the dark. microSD expansion slot is back by popular demand apparently with support up to 128GB.

One of the most interesting features announced is the new always-on display (AOD) that lets you view information such as date and time at a glance without waking the phone. According to Samsung, the phone is smart enough to turn the display off when it’s in the pocket or bag, when it’s faced down or low battery.
Available in black, gold and silver and comes with 32GB of internal storage.
