MyRepublic have just released their mobile subscription plans on their website a few hours ago. The rates are incredibly attractive and offer a radically different telco system than its competitors.
There are only two mobile plans and MyRepublic stated that they intend to keep things simple – 2GB monthly local data for $8 per month and $80 for the unlimited local data. According to the company, they will only be offering data-only network and subscribers can make phone calls to mobile numbers and landlines using a voice app.
Data-only network? Say what?
Incoming SMSes will be free and the company will announce further add-on services such as Caller ID and roaming features when they are closer to a launch date but also state that they will not be more expensive than what the competition is currently offering.
MyRepublic broadband customers will enjoy a further 25% discount across the plans which is the same discount if a family of four signs up to the mobile plans. However, it is not clear if the discounts will stack up.
