After the pressure from MyRepublic recent announcement on their mobile subscription plans (if they successfully become the 4th telco), Singtel took the first step yesterday and allow customers to double their mobile data by paying an additional $5.90 per month.
M1 today announced a similar move, allowing customers, depending on their subscription plan, to upsize their plan’s data from 2GB to 12GB for the same additional $5.90 per month. This means that customers, especially on the higher-end plans get to pay much lesser now if they choose to use the upsize. For example, a 13GB plan from M1 used to cost twice as much before the upsize announcement, which only costs $107.90 per month now.
