BreadTalk is known to introduce new items at their bakery stores every now and then but there’s a new croissant in town (and neighbourhoods) that’s drawing a lot of oohs and ahhs.
The Golden Lava Croissant is the popular bakery’s first and latest creation. If you are familiar with the Chinese delicacy Liu Sha Bao (流沙包) steamed bun, you will find the same molten salted egg yolk custard filling except this time it’s wrapped in a crispy butter croissant.
The new bite-sized Golden Lava Croissants have been a huge hit after making their debut at five selected BreadTalk stores since last Friday – Novena Square, Tampines Mall, Waterway Point and Westgate. Priced at just a dollar each, customers can get 1 free with 6 purchased or 2 free with 10 purchased in the current promotion.
BreadTalk has also stated that they will be extending the new croissant item to more stores this Friday.
