Whether Virtual Reality (VR) headsets will become the next big thing in gaming or not, Sony has stepped up their game and took the gamble launching its own version simply called PlayStation VR.
According to Sony’s CEO, the PlayStation VR is launching at a timeframe later than expected. The new gaming headset will launch later in the states this year in October at a suggested retail price of US$399 (est ~S$544.38), no news on its global launch yet but from previous launch dates on the consoles, it won’t be too far away.
More than 50 games will be available at the launch in October with six free ones through The Playroom VR (free to download) to get gamers started. You can find out more from the official Playstation USA or Japan blog sites.
