Final Fantasy XV set to release on 30th September with new Platinum Demo available now

Along with a ridiculous new trailer

10 years after it was first announced, Final Fantasy XV is finally scheduled for a worldwide release on 30th September 2016. Fans who have been waiting almost a decade for it to arrive can now make their pre-orders on the official website.

In conjunction with the announcement, Square Enix has also lined up a bunch of stuff in order not to disappoint fans. Apart from the Deluxe and Ultimate Collector’s edition of the game, you can also watch for free the first of the five-episode new anime series Brotherhood Final Fantasy XV on Youtube now.

A new FFXV Platinum Demo has also surfaced in the Playstation Store free to download and play. The demo is a separate original which lets gamers take on the role of young Noctis not available in the final FFXV game itself.

However, it will not be available in the theaters and will serve as a prequel to the game featuring the story of King Regis, Noctis’s father.

For pre-orders of the Day One Edition (US$59.99), customers will receive exclusive weapon when the game releases in September. The FFXV Deluxe edition (US$89.99) will contain all of Day One Edition plus a 2-disc Steelbook as well as the FFXV live-action movie KingsGlaive in Blu-ray. As for the Ultimate Collector’s edition (US$269), which has already sold out shortly after the announcement (there’s still a waiting list), contains all of Deluxe Edition plus the official Blu-ray Disc Music which features soundtracks from FFXV, KingsGlaive and Brotherhood, an exclusive Noctis action figure and a bonus in-game weapon. Only 30,000 units of the Ultimate Collector’s Edition will be created according to Square Enix.
