The 79-year old Haw Par Villa theme park that depicts scenes of Chinese mythology and folklores is getting an unusual comeback as an outdoor real-life escape game.

Brought to you by the people behind Lockdown Singapore, the new escape game titled “Journey to the End and Back” takes over the entire Haw Par Villa theme park and tasks you to find a student that has travelled to hades by mistake and you are to find and bring him back before he gets sent for reincarnation.

First reported by the Straits Times, the theme park opens beyond its operating hours after 7pm to accommodate the new adventure with lights installed in parts of the park so the games can carry on until late into the night.

The Haw Par Villa escape game has been a huge hit among the younger crowds, selling out for all slots in May. They are set to return in June and if you are keen to get a piece of the action from this unique outdoor concept, stay tuned to Lockdown Singapore Facebook page or their Peatix account (ticket sale service).
