Old Chang Kee seems to be re-inventing their curry puffs lately. Earlier, there’s the Chicken Rendang ‘O and Chilli Crab O’ followed by the recent Black Pepper Tuna O’. Today, the traditional curry puff chain introduced a darker twist to the bestselling pastry – BBQ Chicken ‘O.
Bamboo charcoal is one of the main ingredients used to make the new puff and hence the charred-like texture. It also comes with a healthier choice stamp for using healthier oil although clearly it is still a deep-fried pastry and not grilled with charcoal as the picture suggest, in case you are wondering.
The BBQ Chicken ‘O is priced at $1.80 each and a discounted price of $3 for two pieces.
