Rare specimens collectible Mini Museum 3rd Edition returns to Kickstarter

Billions of years of life, science, and history in the palm of your hand

Love history, science and life? You better get your money ready for this Kickstarter project.

Already a hit in its first and second editions, Mini Museum is back with a third edition. For those of you who haven’t heard of it, Mini Museum is created by Hans Fex, he travels around the world meeting scientists, museum curators, astronauts and adventures and collects rare specimens from them.

The specimens are then cut up into tiny pieces, artfully arranged and then encased in Lucite acrylic. As with previous editions, Mini Museum 3 will be a one-off sale and won’t be repeated.

There are two versions of Mini Museum 3 – the large one contains 29 specimens while a smaller one contains 12. Some of the rare specimens include space gems billions of years old, fragment from a 14th-century samurai sword, a patch from Steve Jobs iconic Turtleneck clothing, and a piece from Pelé’s soccer ball.

A collectible with specimens this rare, however, comes at a price. Mini Museum Small will cost US$129 while the Large one will set you back by US$299 before shipping charges.

Mini Museum 3 is expected to be delivered in April later this year.
