Register your POSB/DBS Mastercard and enjoy 100% cashback on first 3 train/bus rides

Because no need EZ-Link anymore

Starting from 20 March 2017, commuters taking public bus and train rides will be able to use Mastercard contactless cards for payment. There will be no need for top-ups required and users will be billed monthly if using credit cards.

Visa payWave is not included in the launch as LTA had only worked with Mastercard for the launch of the new payment system. LTA, however, is open to working with other payment schemes in the future according to reports.

As part of the launch, POSB/DBS Mastercard owners can register their cards for transport usage and in return, the bank will offer 100% cashback on the first three train/bus rides upon successful application.

The cards available for registration include the following:

  • POSB Everyday Card
  • PAssion POSB Debit Card
  • HomeTeamNS-PAssion-POSB Debit Card
  • POSB GO! Debit Card
  • DBS Woman’s Card
  • DBS Esso Card
  • SAFRA DBS Card

The cashback period will be available for a month from 20 March to 20 April 2017. POSB and DBS will notify successful applicants when the pilot programme begins and on how to activate the registered card via email and SMS.
