This video will make you want to drop everything and head to Tohoku, Japan now

Beautiful in Autumn or Winter

Japan is a land of many wonders. You might have heard or visited some of the popular cities in the country already – Tokyo, Osaka, Hokkaido, Kyoto, etc. but you probably haven’t explored or heard of Tohoku before.

It turns out the small town located below the island of Hokkaido is an area of magnificent nature and filled with unique Japanese culture. Tohoku is known for its volcanoes and an excellent venue for skiing due to its mountainous terrains. It is also home to the tiny, pine-covered islets of Matsushima Bay and Lake Towada, a crater lake made famous by its bright-blue colour and surrounding greenery.

Travel to Tohoku region is accessible via transit from Singapore -> Tokyo (Haneda Airport) -> Aomori Airport on Japan Airlines (JAL). Return flights costs on average around S$900 – S$1,200+.
