Believe it or not, fast food chain McDonald’s Singapore has a big surprise for burger fans tomorrow, 13 July 2017.
Clearly isn’t a joke as multiple news media has picked up the official press release, McDonald’s is set to introduce a new Nasi Lemak Burger, locally-inspired and in celebration of the upcoming National Day 2017.
The new burger features a coconut-flavoured chicken patty coated with cornflakes and topped with a fried egg, onions, cucumbers and sambal sauce. It is priced at $5.95 for a la carte orders.
Desserts with a local twist will be accompanying the new burger – Bandung McFizz, Chendol McFlurry, Coconut Pie, Chendol Melaka Cone, Chendol Melaka Twist and Chendol Melaka Choco Cone will be available on the same day.
Criss-cut fries will also be making a return, according to the company.
