Who say no cheap food? The 50c Chinatown Food Fest 2017 is returning on 29 & 30 July

Every dish is just 50 cents

If you have visited the 50c Food Fest last year, the first of such in Singapore, you will know there’s such a thing as cheap and good food.

Organised by Chinatown Food Street (CFS), the same ultra-affordable food fest is set to return to us this month. Happening at the same location along Smith Street on 29 & 30 July, 20 stalls and 10 old-school mobile hawkers will take to the street selling local and 80s/90s favourites including Rickshaw Noodles, UFO (Fried Oyster Cake), Ah Balling, Hakka-style Abacus Seeds, Tutu Kueh and much more.

50c Food Fest 2016 Highlights

Best news of all, everything costs only 50c per bowl/plate!

Despite the serving being a little smaller, patrons will, however, get to savour a variety of dishes. Totally worth it.

That’s not all, there will be non-stop fun for the young and old with  interactive 80s classic games and pastimes lined along CFS as well as its alleyways.

You can get a sneak preview of how the food festival will turn out to be from video highlight of last year’s event below. You can also find out the list of food available this year here.
