Free DTV Starter Kit for Singaporean HDB owners
Haven’t switched to digital channels on your TV yet? Very soon, you will be able to pick up a digital TV (DTV) starter kit this year.
The move, to ensure more Singaporeans can transition to DTV, will mean about 400,000 HDB households in Singapore will receive a letter to redeem the starter kit between April and June 2018.
IMDA will send notification letters progressively to eligible households based on the following schedule:

The DTV Starter Kit contains a digital set-top box and one indoor antenna and will also come with free delivery and installation.
The DTV Starter Kits are available for redemption until 31 December 2018.

There are, however, conditions to redeem the DTV Starter Kit such as being a Singaporean and living in a HDB flat, have no Pay TV subscription and have not received any DTV assistance schemes before.
No action is required for households with an existing StarHub or Singtel Pay TV subscription as Mediacorp’s free-to-air TV channels are already delivered in digital format through these Pay TV services.
