The Kindle Paperwhite (2nd generation) e-book reader is awesome and we know it but for some restrictions unknown, Amazon doesn’t allow it to be shipped to Singapore. You then have to go through forwarding services to get your hands on one, and the hassle to do that just doesn’t make much sense in terms of time and money.
Groupon is now retailing this very device (ad-free version) at a very good price of just S$168 with it delivered to your doorstep. You do have to wait for availability which will only happen on 22 October 2014 and then another 7 days that follows for delivery time. Given the price and 6 months local warranty provided by Groupon themselves, we think a 2-week wait is still pretty reasonable.
Limited time and stock so unless you prefer reading real books, the Amazon Kindle Paperwhite is probably the closest you can get to a real book on a gadget.
