Singapore Airlines has just announced their new Premium Economy Class which will take flight starting on National Day, 9 August 2015. The first destination will be to and from Sydney, while rolling out the rest of 18 cities worldwide progressively.
The new Premium Economy Class will feature new seats in a more spacious 2-4-2 arrangement with a wider up to 19.5″ back rest, plus a foot and calf rest with larger leg space. The new seats also come with a 13.3″ full HD entertainment display, adjustable reading lampWiFi connectivity and USB ports for charging.

More variety of dining choices will be available and champagne is served throughout the flight. Prior to boarding, Premium Economy Class passengers will receive priority check-in, boarding and baggage handling. Krisflyer members will also enjoy 10% more miles every time on Premium Economy Class.
A quick check on the first flight to Sydney from Singapore Airlines website shows that the Premium Economy Class will cost $160 more than the standard Economy Class seats.
