Apple Event Roundup: New MacBook announced and Apple Watch in detail

We heard there won’t be a new MacBook Air or Pro at the Apple event today but the Cupertino company suprised us with a new line of notebook and it is simply call MacBook.

The new MacBook sits between the MacBook Air and Pro, featuring a 12″ retina display, 8GB of memory and starts with 256GB of SSD flash storage. The keyboard has been redesign with a “butterfly mechanism” that Apple claims to improve typing experience, and beneath each key lies a LED light that offers a more uniform lighting.

The new flagship notebook also features a new trackpad that has a taptic-engine built in which detects the pressure of the touch, allowing you to force-click to trigger various actions on the MacBook.

Weighing at just under a kg and an incredible 13.1mm thin, MacBook uses a fanless Intel Core M processor and only has two ports – a USB type-C connector for charging, external display/devices and a headphone port.

Apple new MacBook will star shipping in 10 April 2015 from S$1,788 available in Silver, Gold and Space Grey colours.
