This is awesome news for mobile subscribers looking for alternatives without an annoying 2-year subscription contract. Singtel has just announced a new contract-free subscription SIM Only plan at just S$20 per month for 5GB worth of mobile data.
The 5GB is divided into 3GB mobile data (4G network) and 2GB Singtel Premium WiFi (over 600 hotspots islandwide). For users who have purchased smartphones directly from the manufacturer such as Xiaomi or Apple without a 2-year contract, Singtel new SIM Only subscription plan will let you enjoy the freedom without being tied down to a contract or unnecessary options. If you need more features in your subscription, add-ons are available at discounted rates – $5 per 1GB additional, $5 for 1,200 SMS messages or $5 for 200 minutes talktime.
The new Singtel mobile plan is similar to M1 mySIM which was announced earlier this year. Comparing both plans, Singtel SIM Only edges out with its lower base cost and customisability.
