This might be the Sony mirrorless camera we all have been waiting for. Announced today, the Sony a6300 is the successor to the earlier a6000 model and features some very welcoming improvements.

Sony claims the new a6300 has the fastest autofocus in the world with the most, 425 of them to be exact, phase-detection AF points across its new copper wired 24.2 megapixel APS-C sensor. Capable of shooting speeds up to 11fps and records 4K video in Super 35mm format, which essentially means the recording is oversampled from a 6K resolution. Other notable improvements include Fast Hybrid AF, new high-contrast high-resolution XGA OLED electronic viewfinder, ISO range from 100 – 51,200.

The Sony a6300 is priced at US$999.99 (~S$1,411.38) and will be available soon.
