2016 marks the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Singapore and Japan and in celebration, Esplanade will be hosting a series of events and performances in a new cultural festival titled Super Japan – Japanese Festival of Arts from 13 – 22 May 2016.
Super Japan Matsuri which features exciting nights of traditional Japanese festival games and foods will also be held as part of the cultural festival during the last weekend of the event from 20 – 22 May.
Savour popular Japanese snacks such as takoyaki, baby castella, soft-serve ice-cream and okonomiyaki right by the bay plus opportunities to play authentic matsuri games such as Shateki (Gun shooting game), Senbonbiki (Lucky String), Yoyo-tsuri (Balloon Fishing) and more.
Admission is free but coupons are required for games.
