New Funan Mall will have indoor sports facilities and new cinema experience from GV

Big plans are coming for Funan as the details are revealed in an announcement today. The former IT mall will be undergoing a major transformation set to complete in three years.

The new Funan will become a mixed-use complex and a lifestyle hub. Doubling the current floor area, it will feature an indoor cycling path, rock climbing, and other sporting facilities within the complex. A single floor will be dedicated to IT products.

New Funan logo revealed

Confirmed tenants include cinema operator Golden Village, Kopitiam food court and rock climbing facility Climb Central. The new cinema will also feature multi-sensory experience while the food court will be named KOPItech and will have robotic vacuum cleaners and self-ordering kiosks. Climb Central facility will be equipped with 50 lanes with its highest wall spanning four floors.

Other highlights of the building include a six-storey high wooden and steel “Tree of Life” structure, drive-through collection for online shoppers as well as a large urban farm.
