Google set to unveil next version Android O the same time the solar eclipse happens

While we won’t be able to see the solar eclipse this time around (because it will be pitch black when it happens), Google has a nice surprise for Android fans.

At exactly the moment of the solar eclipse, the internet company will be releasing their latest mobile operating system – Android O. Rumours are suggesting it will be named Oreo, based on Google’s love for candies in the past releases.

Many developers have started using the beta versions of Android O on Google Pixel smartphone. Apart from a newly designed notification screen, there will definitely be a lot of changes under the hood.

You can watch the release live from the YouTube stream above or find out more about Android O here.
