New ride-hailing app URGE takes on Grab
Yet another ride-booking app has surfaced to take on the Singapore market.
URGE is the latest app that launched earlier this month and promises better rates for riders and a stable income for drivers. In addition, there will be no surge pricing during high demand periods according to the company.
For drivers, URGE offers a basic salary with CPF contribution and employee benefits such as medical and annual leave. There will also be incentives for target trips as well as flexible working hours. Petrol and car rental will be borne by the company.
There are reports that URGE is paying a salary of $2,700 per month for full-time drivers and expects to have more than 2,000 drivers on the road in 3 months time.
