There’s a huge Food Festival at Takashimaya filled with lots of authentic Japanese goodies happening right now

Japan Food Matsuri 2018 at Takashimaya

Can’t find time to visit Japan? Takashimaya is bringing them to you, the food at least.

Happening at Takashimaya Square basement 2 from now till 14 October, the Japan Food Matsuri 2018 brings Izakaya-style dining, cooking demonstrations and even a pop-up sake and whisky bar among dozens of authentic Japanese food stalls.

Here’s a quick peek at what’s happening at the festival.

Enjoy a warm bowl of Men-Men Tei Ramen just like the locals in Japan.

Or savour this melt-in-your-mouth Kurobuta Pork Kakuni.

Pick up the Aji-Doraku Bento from Sugiyama Suisan, featuring the freshest catch straight from Hokkaido.

Sashimi and sushi made fresh on the spot or have a bite of succulent Okinawa Wagyu Sushi.

Or go straight for the priced Okinawa A4 Wagyu Steaks, prepared teppanyaki style right in front of you.

Mr. Sakamoto’s Soba from Hokkaido will be making their first appearance in Singapore. There will be a demo on how the soba is made, from scratch.

A Matcha Standing Bar from Ippodo, Kyoto will be serving ceremonial-grade matcha for green tea lovers.

Popular Japanese chocolate artisan silsmaria from Shonan region is here too.

Don’t leave the festival without trying Japanese sake and whiskey!
