Apple unveils new iPad Pro, MacBook Air & Mac mini. Here are their prices in Singapore

The October Apple Event has just ended. Three new Apple devices were unveiled at the event – A new MacBook Air, iPad Pro and Mac Mini.

Here’s a quick look at how they stack up.

iPad Pro 2018

The new iPad Pro has been completely redesigned. It looks like a tablet version of the iPhone XS Max except without the notch.

Here’s why we think it will be a gamechanger:

• An edge-to-edge Liquid Retina Display
• Powerful A12X Bionic processor
• Buttonless with Face ID
• Next-gen Apple Pencil that charges wirelessly when it snaps to the iPad Pro magnetically
• New Smart Keyboard Folio
• iPad Pro uses a USB-C connection which can be used to charge other devices

It comes in two variants, an 11-inch and a huge 12.9-inch version available in Space Grey and Silver colours. Prices start from S$1,199 for the 11-inch and S$1,499 for the 12.9-inch display.

MacBook Air 2018

The MacBook Air finally gets a Retina Display. It is also thinner and lighter than ever.

Features include:

• 13.3-inch high-resolution display with razor-sharp text clarity
• Touch ID fingerprint scanner integrated with the power button
• Force Touch Trackpad which is also 20% larger
• Up to 16GB memory configurations
• Weighs only 1.25kg and 15.6mm thin
• Powered by Intel Core i5 processors
• Up to 12 hours of battery life
• Thunderbolt 3

Price starts from S$1,789 for the base model with 8GB memory and 128GB SSD storage.

It will come in three colours – Space Grey, Gold and Silver and will be available from 7 November.

Mac mini 2018

The Mac Mini gets upgrades all around. They don’t come cheap though.

Improvements include:

• New 8th-Gen 6-core and quad-core processors
• Up to 64GB of memory configuration
• 4 x Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) ports
• HDMI 2.0
• 10Gb Ethernet
• SSD storage up to 2TB
• Better internal airflow
• Apple T2 Security Chip
• Runs up to two 4K displays

Pricing for the new Mac mini starts at S$1,179 for a 3.6GHz 8th-Gen Intel Core i3 processor, 8GB memory and 128GB SSD storage.

It will also be available on Apple Store from 7 November.
