KFC S’pore upcoming dish is a ‘Kentaco’, a Fried Chicken Fillet folded like a Taco Shell with lots of fillings

KFC Chaco coming to S’pore soon?

KFC Singapore is looking to launch a new dish soon.

Earlier on Monday, they teased about it with a photo of a taco shell, saying “It’s time for tacos to break out of their shells“.

Hmmm.

KFC Chaco?

While some fans are guessing if Taco Bell will be making a comeback, the more likely answer is they will be introducing the new KFC Chaco (or a similar version) here.

First launched in KFC Philippines in May last year, the new dish switches the regular crunchy corn taco for a fried-chicken fillet. The fillet is folded like a taco shell and then stuffed with shredded lettuce, salsa, corn, spicy mayo, and lots of grated cheese at the top.

Here are some photos of it IRL.

Perfect dish for the chicken and cheese lovers.

Sure looks yummy, despite as strange as it sounds on paper.

In the Philippines, the Chaco with fries and drink costs 145 pesos (~S$3.90) and 219 pesos (~S$5.90) for a fully-loaded meal with fried chicken and spaghetti.

KFC S’pore ‘Kentaco’ Revealed

Update: KFC Singapore has announced the new dish and calls it Kentaco, which is similar to KFC Philippines Chaco.

According to KFC, the chicken shell is a 100% white meat fried to golden brown, stuffed with lettuce, tomatoes and finished off with shredded cheese and cheese sauce, a dream combination of 4-cheese flavours – Emmental, Romano, Cheddar and Mozzarella.
