(No) Thanks to Coronavirus
According to reports online, a flash crash had driven the Down Under currency to an 11-year low, as currency markets worldwide panicked over the coronavirus outbreak.
At the time of this writing, a quick Google search reveals the Australian dollar pegging pretty close to the Singapore dollar at A$1.09.
Which is surprisingly good news if you are going on a trip to the country – you might want to head down moneychangers soon since nobody knows when it will bounce back.
