Gong Cha S’pore set to open 3 outlets on May 23 at first, changes mind later to offer delivery only

Because customer safety first

Due to overwhelming response, Gong Cha will only offer bbt delivery

On Friday (22 May) evening, Gong Cha Singapore put up an announcement on their social media accounts saying they will be reopening 3 of their outlets at Causeway Point, PLQ Mall (Paya Lebar Quarter) and Serangoon Nex.

It is unclear why they were able to reopen despite Circuit Breaker regulations stating otherwise.

Changed their mind

However, Gong Cha’s management later changed their mind about the reopening after an overwhelming response from fans and will instead offer bubble tea delivery via delivery partners Deliveroo, FoodPanda and GrabFood.

Which means fans staying in Woodlands, Paya Lebar and Serangoon area can still get their bubble-tea fix starting this weekend.

Here’s their updated post.

What this means is the 3 outlets will still continue to reopen today (23 May), except they will only be servicing delivery orders. Takeaway orders will not be available.

For the safety of customers and staff, Gong Cha has also advised fans not to make the trip down to the stated outlets.
