Cinemas Reopening

All 3 major cinema operators Golden Village, Shaw Theatres and Cathay Cineplexes announced they will be reopening from 13 July onwards.

There are, however, certain restrictions on group bookings and seating arrangements.

Golden Village

For GV bookings, their seats are reconfigured into groups of 2 or 3 pax. Customers can also book tickets for a group of up to 5 persons (friends and family) but they will need to approach the staff for assistance.

Here’s a guide on their safe distancing and precautionary measures to take note when you are there.

Cathay Cineplexes

Similarly, movie tickets at Cathay Cineplexes will be only be sold in singles or pairs.

Shaw Theatres

Shaw Theatres has also announced their reopening on the same date with theatre halls reconfigured with a capacity limit of maximum 50 seats.

Premium seat types are not affected as they have sufficient safe distance.
