Casio is on a roll with their metallic G-SHOCKs, launching yet another collection following the success with their full-metal series.
G-SHOCK GM-110 Metal Covered Collection
The new GM-110 collection is based on designs from the popular GA-110 series, featuring analogue and digital dial with a large metallic case.
There are 4 colourways to choose from, including Gold (GM-110G-1A9DR), Silver (GM-110-1ADR), Black (GM-110B-1ADR) and Rainbow (GM-110RB-2ADR).
The GM-110RB ‘Rainbow’ model is a premium variant, featuring a bezel treated with rainbow ion-plating and vivid red and blue hues colouring the dial.
According to Casio, the forged metal bezel has glass fibres incorporated into the resin for increased strength and is made involving around 20 forging processes, followed by cutting, polishing and carefully finished to achieve the complex shape and form.
The watches also come with a resin band that is formed with a lattice design that evokes the image of a machined metal plate to complement the metal bezel.
To ensure visibility, the hour and minute hands are treated with luminescent paint.
Here’s a closer look at the watch.
G-SHOCK has once again teamed up with Singaporean contemporary artist Jahan Loh to create a new introduction video titled Intergalactic Dreams for the GM-110 release.
