Chinatown Point’s ‘famous’ Ox Mascot is actually an Otter, has otter-themed tote bags & cushion to redeem

Not ox or rat

Chinatown Point’s CNY mascot is actually an otter in various outfits

When an ox mascot turned up in Chinatown Point, netizens commented that it was being recycled from a rat mascot last year.

Chinatown Point has responded to the mascot’s identity crisis and turns out it’s not an ox or rat, but an otter.

Not ox or rat

There’s also more than one otter mascot in the Chinatown mall, all in different outfits including:

  • God of Fortune
  • Lion Dance
  • Year of the Ox
  • Traditional Tang Suit (唐裝)

The now-famous otter mascot at the atrium is also accompanied by giant pineapple tarts.

So cute.
