Control the Xiaomi compact steam toaster oven even when you are away via a smartphone app
Here’s a toaster oven to look out for if you’re running out of space on your kitchen countertops.
Xiaomi Smart Compact Toaster Oven
Chinese phone and appliance maker Xiaomi has just released a new compact toaster oven in China that not only makes toasts but also steams and cook steaks, pizza, pastries and more.
It measures just 33cm long and 28cm wide, which is around the size of a 13-inch laptop.
Besides its good looks, features include smartphone app control, 5ml water tank for steaming function to ensure toasts and food won’t dry out, high sensitivity temperature sensor and an easy-to-access grill and tray that slides out when opening.
The app also comes with an e-cookbook with a variety of toasts and dishes to try, complete with a list of ingredients.
With the smartphone app, owners can also control the toaster oven even when away from it or set a heating timer for the dishes you have prepared.
The toaster oven also comes with a number of accessories including a pair of tongs, a water-measuring cup which doubles as a cap, residue dish and a toast tray.
Pricing & Availability
Released earlier this week, the Xiaomi 12-litre compact smart toaster oven is currently only available in China, priced at ¥299 (~S$61). We are expecting resellers in Singapore to pick it up shortly and will likely surface on online marketplaces such as Shopee, Lazada or Qoo10.
