Dignity Kitchen in Boon Keng has local dishes cooked by the disabled & disadvantaged in S’pore

Here’s a food centre you might want to support during this difficult time.

Dignity House @ Boon Keng

Also known as Dignity Kitchen, the food centre located at 69 Boon Keng Rd is Singapore’s first hawker training school for the disabled and disadvantaged.

According to netizen Jennifer Ang who spotted the place, the food centre has a few stalls that sell popular dishes inspired by local favourites including Nasi Lemak, Mee Rebus, Lontong, Chicken Rice, Kolo Mee, Rojak and Western Food.

There are also pastries and cakes for those with a sweet tooth or complete your meal with a dessert. Items include muffins, cookies, ondeh ondeh cakes and more.

The place opens from 8am to 8pm from Monday to Saturday. They are closed on Sunday and on Public Holidays.

Pay it forward

Besides supporting them, customers can also buy a meal for those in need by paying it forward at $3.50 per meal.

Here’s their full menu so you can order right away when you arrived.

In case you are wondering, they also provide delivery services within 1km from the food centre, subjected to wheelchair accessibility.
