Daiso fan turns flat tape into a grocery bag using her crochet skills

With retailers and supermarkets charging for plastic bags, it might be a good idea to bring your own bag for your grocery runs.

Or you can make one.

Made with Daiso Tape

A crochet lover by the name Angi recently uploaded a photo in the Daiso Singapore group on Facebook, showing off a self-made grocery bag made entirely using just Daiso flat tape.

Here’s a closer look at the finished bag.

It’s not clear how long she took to weave the bag but according to Angi, she had used up around 2 rolls of the tape bought from Daiso store. Angi also mentioned the bag is very durable.

Another photo shows the flat tape can be winded up into ‘threads’ in case you are wondering.

Each roll costs $2.16 as listed on Daiso Singapore’s website which means she spent under $5 to create the shopping bag with the desired size and shape.

The tape, at the time of this writing, is sold out online but is likely still available at all Daiso outlets islandwide.

The Facebook post has garnered more than 250 likes from fans in the group with most of them impressed with the amount of effort and work done.

For those into the hobby of crochet, you might want to consider this as your next project especially if you can’t find a grocery bag with a size and shape you want.
