New Bus Service 673 offers a direct route from Punggol to Temasek Boulevard in the CBD during peak hours
Punggol residents commuting to the CBD will soon enjoy the convenience of a direct bus service, making their daily journeys to and from work smoother and more efficient.
In a continued effort to enhance commuter convenience, the Land Transport Authority (LTA) has announced the launch of a new City Direct Bus Service, Service 673, which will begin operation starting from Monday, 14 October 2024.
This service will operate between Punggol Way and Temasek Boulevard in the Central Business District (CBD), offering a direct route that is expected to cut down travel time for commuters in the Punggol region heading towards the city center.
The bus service is targeted at working professionals and daily commuters travelling during peak hours, providing a more efficient travel alternative compared to other existing bus routes and train services. By utilizing the expressways for a large part of the journey, Service 673 aims to reduce congestion and long travel times.
As part of a limited-time promotion, passengers switching from the North East Line to Service 673 will be entitled to $1.00 off per trip. This initiative is designed to encourage more commuters to utilize the new bus service for their daily commute, helping to ease crowding on existing train services.
