Built on ‘Never Give Up’ Spirit, GA-V01 is G-SHOCK’s Next Evolution
Casio’s G-SHOCK lineup just got a futuristic upgrade.
Introducing the GA-V01, a fresh and daring reinvention that blends bold design, breakthrough engineering, and iconic toughness. Whether you are drawn to rugged aesthetics or cutting-edge tech, the GA-V01 stands out with a presence that demands attention.
Designed by Tomohiro Hamaue, the GA-V01 abandons traditional forms for something more visceral and raw. Inspired by the original “Never Give Up” spirit of G-SHOCK founder Mr. Kikuo Ibe, this new silhouette feels like a creature born from a digital-age jungle — oversized, spiked, and battle-ready.
Its integrated bezel-band construction gives it a seamless look, with side buttons and bumper-like hour markers protruding around the dial.
One of its most eye-catching features is the butterfly-shaped display, layered with metallic openwork and framed by magnetic, circular hands. It feels more sci-fi than sportswear, and that’s exactly the point. The full-screen LCD and three-dimensional markers add a sense of depth, like a dashboard out of a cyberpunk world.
What really sets the GA-V01 apart is what’s under the hood. G-SHOCK introduces a newly developed Shock Release Hand system. Rather than being rigidly fixed, the minute hand is held in place by magnetic force, allowing it to absorb shocks and return to alignment. This innovation not only protects the movement from impact but also gives the designers room to create larger, bolder hands.
The crystal face is surrounded by raised hour markers that double as bumpers — adding both shock resistance and a visual edge. Inside, the high-capacity battery promises up to 10 years of life, keeping the tech running without fuss.

The GA-V01 will debut exclusively at Limited Edt Vault from 14 to 26 June, before arriving at select G-SHOCK stores across Singapore from 27 June 2025 onwards.
