Tarts, crepes, and cake — IKEA’s got durian done three ways this season
Durian season is in full swing, and IKEA Singapore is joining the celebration with its annual Durian Fiesta.
From now until 31 August, fans of the king of fruits can enjoy a trio of seasonal desserts available at IKEA Restaurants, each one featuring rich, creamy durian in unique forms.
The Durian Tart offers a crisp, golden pastry filled with smooth durian custard, baked to a gentle caramelised finish. Available from now till 31 August, it’s priced at just $3.50 for IKEA Family members (U.P. $4.50). A simple but satisfying way to get your durian fix.
Durian lovers looking for something light and luscious should try the Durian Mille Crepe. Made with delicate crepe layers and a generous spread of durian cream between each fold, this dessert balances texture and flavour beautifully.
Available only till 31 July, it’s priced at $6.90 for members (U.P. $7.90), so there’s a bit of urgency to indulge early.
From 1 August, a new addition joins the menu — the Petite Durian Cake. Don’t be fooled by its size. This mini durian cake resembles the spiky fruit itself, with a punchy durian mousse encased in a delightful shell.
It’s priced at $6.00 for IKEA Family members (U.P. $7.90), available only through the end of August.
