Movie of the Week – Transformers: Dark of the Moon

Transformers: Dark of the Moon

Dark of the Moon is the third installation of the Transformers movie series, this time round the Autobots learn of a hidden spacecraft on the moon and race against the Decepticons to reach its secrets.

Megan Fox either left by herself or was dropped by the producers, speculated reason being her comments towards the film’s director Michael Bay. This Huffington Post article says it all if you are interested. She is replaced by English model and actress Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.

Most critics praised the film visual effects and action sequences but gave criticisms on the acting and script, which isn’t really too surprisingly for a movie in this genre. Only a mere 36% score on rottentomatoes.com, 42/100 on Metacritic and averages 7.0 on IMDB based on over 5,000+ votes.

Definitely a must watch if you are are looking for some sci-fi wham bam action over the weekend, plus you might also be interested to know that Transformers 3 is available in Shaw’s IMAX format, a higher resolution format compared to standard cinema sizes.
